Thanks for the updates guys. Attaboy :-)

My wife has begun telling all her friends I'm an atheist and telling them about my website. I think it's kind of funny. This is the same church I used to attend.

I am, however, hesitant around my clients to bring up religion. I've only heard back from 20% of my friends that I told through email.

There's a room in your mind that is locked by religion. I'm amazed at how big that room was and how quickly it's filling up. I already know more about my rights and the bible then some of my christians friends.

Atheism, WooHoo.

Hey, I didn't say I didn't like to get attaboy letters. What I said was I think our listeners would be bored hearing about them.

Hi Rob,

I actually enjoy the attaboy letters unlike my distinguished co-host but would also like to have some debates. Perhaps we can try and have a Christian podcast host on to discuss a topic in the near future.

As far as Marie goes, she hasn't figured it out yet. She is actually a neighbor not a co-worker. She certainly knows that I am not a Christian but doesn't know about the show yet or how anti Christian I am. We were talking last night at the gym about a friends children and how they were becoming impossible to control, I quoted Leviticus 20:9 about killing your children and this surprised her a bit. Of course she hadn't heard of the verse as she, like most Christians, doesn't actually read the bible. She will figure it out eventually but I don't think it will change our relationship, I will certainly report if it does!

Rob,

You are correct that I don't listen to or contact Christian podcasts, radio shows, etc. But I do find it more interesting to field questions from people who disagree with me - and if it makes them look "militant" that doesn't really bother me. Plus, I would think our listeners would be far more entertained listening to a good debate than hearing us read endless lists of attaboy letters.

Thanks,
John

I hear you guys asking for people who disagree with you. The problem is the same for them, are you going to the Christian podcasts and telling them you don't agree? Probably not. It would really make you look like militant atheists. If the reverse is the same it's going to make them look like militant christians. I never feel like a christian has educated me during a debate but I know I educate them.

I really think that you've nailed the atheist crowd and many agnostics. Your shows are educational to a Brand New Atheist such as myself.

David, you mentioned at one point you worked with a young woman who didn't know your position on the whole God issue. What happened.
