Rapper/actor/whatever Mos Def has entered my unofficial list of World’s Stupidest Celebrities–by which I do not mean he has a low IQ. I mean that he seems to let his desires override his intellect, and is unwilling to admit when he’s been proven wrong, that he now knows more than he did five minutes ago, and move on. Mr. Def is in no danger of knocking Sherri Shepherd off the top of the pyramid, but if he works hard enough…well, here’s an excerpt from his recent appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher. It’s not every day you see a guy get owned by Salman Rushdie and Christopher Hitchens at the same time. Fabulous. [This clip may be removed by YouTube soon, so if you get a bad link...sorry!]

I saw the show and agree with you 100%. At times he acted like he was stoned on something.
WOW the depths of being that stupid is something to behold. I had to watch this elsewhere. As many people should see this as possible. This kind of stupid needs a new name. Would love to hear what this talking nut sack has to say about 9/11-Wait never mind it is probably nothing new.
yeah, Mos Def is usually spot on when he’s on Real Time…
, but not so much this time.
(whoops, forgot to complete my sentence before submitting)
I was wondering after his appearance on House whether he always sounds drunk…

I am amazed the audience seemed to agree with him. Some people mistake uninformed and outrageous behavior for courage.
