Podcast #49 – James Morrow

We interview science fiction and fantasy writer– and scientific rationalist extraordinaire– James Morrow.  He takes a break from his usual religiously-themed satire in his latest novel Shambling Towards Hiroshima, a WWII rollick in which, instead of atomic bombs, the US military mulls the use of genetically-engineered, building-sized, fire-breathing iguanas to stomp and scorch the cities of Japan.  Jim’s previous novels include the Godhead TrilogyTowing Jehovah (winner of the World Fantasy Award), Blameless in Abaddon, and The Eternal Footman–as well as The Last Witchfinder, The Philosopher’s Apprentice, and numerous shorter works.

Jim also gives us a sneak peek at his upcoming presentation at the America Atheists national convention (Apr 9-12 in Atlanta).  For more information about James Morrow, visit JamesMorrow.net or his personal blog The Passionate Rationalist.
