Colbert mocks TX

And what’s not to mock?  Not only is Texas governor Rick Perry determined to have a Creationist wingnut as chair of the state’s Board of Education, but the state is also considering guidelines that will teach that the “foundations of our country are very biblical” (this from Don McLeroy, whom the legislature failed to re-confirm as chair of the DOE–it now looks like the seat will be occupied by a less-well-known fundamentalist zealot).

Anyway, last week comedian Stephen Colbert highlighted the situation in the Lone Star state in his occasional segment “Tip of the Hat, Wag of the Finger.”  Look for his remarks about Texas at around the 1:15 mark.
