As you’ve probably heard, a massive earthquake has devastated Haiti. While Haitian authorities and international agencies are still trying to come to grips with the size of the calamity, Pat Robertson is already assigning blame:
Way to shoot from the hip, Robertson. Here’s an idea: the next time you think of saying something…don’t.

Hmm. Odd… I see no mention of the Devil here.
Amazing. He can’t really believe this, but then again……
Why does anyone treat this man with respect? If people shouted him down he might stop talking… forever.
Hey there, I completely and totally agree with the sentiment. I wrote on it myself. On the other hand, and I’m not trying to be difficult, but would you please reconsider use of the term “bitch slap” in the future, as it really has it roots in misogyny? I’ve listened to your podcast and know this isn’t who you are. Thanks.
Carissa, thanks for your email. I don’t think anyone but the most obsessively PC worries about the origin of the term “bitch slap” any more than they worry that the term “villain” originally referred to villagers. (“Don’t you realize how offensive it is to small-towners to be called VILLAINS!?”) The former term is as far dissociated from its “mysogynist” origins as the term “bitch” itself (which frequently no longer carries any gender implications at all). If anyone’s a bitch in the sense of its modern, common usage, it’s Pat Robertson.
Say what? “Bitch” has no gender implications? I’ve never considered myself “obsessively PC” so thanks for setting me straight.
Pat Robertson is an insane, head-up-his-butt asshole. He’s no bitch.
Disappointed in your response. Not what I was expecting from a freethinker.
I guess I’ll just be the villain. Sorry! :(
