Mount Soledad Cross unconstitutional

San Diego’s Mount Soledad Cross has been ruled unconstitutional by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. What should have been an open and shut case will likely drag on all the way to the Supreme Court.   Amazing that government officials are claiming with a straight face that the cross is merely a symbol honoring the dead, and has no overt religious connotation.  What’s next?  Saying “In God We Trust” has no inherent religious meaning?  Oh.  Never mind.
