AL governor apologies for Christian comments

Alabama’s new governor Robert Bentley has apologies for artless statements he made on his inauguration day.  After his swearing in, Bentley made remarks at a local church about how born-again Christians were his “brothers and sisters” and those that weren’t, um, weren’t.  After the media held his feet to the fire, Bentley apologized, although I think he’s more sorry he got caught than he is over what he said.  Indeed, public opinion in Alabam’ shows an unconcern amongst the populace over the possibility that their governor is a religious bigot.
