Pimp my turtle

This is just about the coolest thing I’ve seen all week. Veterinarians in Washington state were forced to amputate the infected forelimb of a “spur-thighed tortoise” (never heard of a spur-thighed tortoise before). To compensate for the lost limb, they epoxied a $7 caster they found at Ace Hardware to one of the scutes of his plastron. The tortoise is expected to make a full recovery, and may even outlive his keepers.
