December 13, 1512 - Herman of Rijswijk is burned at the stake for heresy at the Hague, Netherlands. He rejected several dogmas of Christianity, including the afterlife, and the miracles/divinity of Jesus.

December 13, 1941 – Entertainer John Davidson is born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His career has ranged from movies to television, theater and music, including numerous appearances on The Tonight Show. In recent months, Davidson has been one of many celebrities to participate in the Openly Secular project:
