He is best known for his Atheist Manifesto, a collection of essays, which stirred some controversy in his country, and deeply influenced a Somali immigrant named Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who would soon renounce Islam, embrace atheism and become active in Dutch politics. A greatly expanded version of Atheist Manifesto was later published in English as God in the Age of Science?
