 Podcast #28 - Report from AAI Convention 2008: Download (1539)

Here’s the second of six short documentary interviews conducted by Jonathan Miller.  This one’s with theologian Denys Turner:

…don’t do what this guy did.  He’s Timothy Brown, a 37-year-old husband and father from Ipswich, England.  This self-described atheist was recently arrested after pursuing a year-long campaign to convert his neighbor away from Christianity.  He did this by vandalizing the Jesus fish on her car, pissing in her yard, and letting his dog crap there (and for all we know, maybe he crapped there, too).  An atheist he might be, but a rationalist he isn’t.

 Podcast #27 - Ed Buckner: Download (1813)

Ed Buckner (currently Treasurer of the Atlanta Freethought Society) has been named the new president of American Atheists, Inc.  He fills the position previous held by the legendary Madalyn Murray O’Hair, Ellen Johnson, and (Acting President) Frank R. Zindler.  Ed has long been active in the freethought movement, including a stint as executive director for the Council for Secular Humanism.
